TaxonomyIn the Apg3 classification Lamiales is a big order with many families. Lamiales is a combination of the Orders of Lamiales, Scrophulariales and Plantaginales of the Cronquist system.
In the Plant theory Verbenales are split off from Lamiales. Verbenales is a monophyletic clade in Lamiales. Lamiales then becomes polypheletic.

2. Acanthaceae.
3. Martyniaceae.

5. Bignoniaceae.

IntroductionVerbenales are less known than Lamiales. The classical families of Lamiales like Lamiaceae, Scrophulariaceae and Plantaginaceae are in Lamiales.
They have the feeling of being partly dismissed, rejected. They feel as if they do not really belong to the group anymore, unless they give themselves away. But that is something they do not want to do, that they see it as giving up their identity and autonomy. They like to contribute, but not at all cost.
BodyNervous: neuralgic pain; spasms; trembling, fainting.
