In the Plant theory Myrtales is placed in the Malvanae, together with the Malvidae, Geraniales, Saxifragales and Haloragales. Myrtales is the only Order in Myrtidae and form its own Subclass. Myrtales can be seen as Phase 1 in Myrtidae.
Myrtidae have the emphasis on the Iron series.
