Geococcyx californianus
Year 2025, Issue 9, Article 10CaseAuthor: Jan Scholten
A woman over 40 has migraine. It is violent, and feels like stowing and stagnation. It is more left-sided. The only thing that really helps is rest, she prefers to do nothing and lie in the dark. With it, she has had a dry nose. She often has migraine for two days and is lying in bed with nausea. It is much worse before menses. The migraines started in puberty and are familiar.
Before menses, everything stagnates, and her breasts are swollen. She has a lot of emotions, it is like a hurricane. She questions everything and wants to go away. She feels crushed like a banana. Everything, her husband and her children are too much for her. There is pressure on her chest, an oppressing pain.
She has pains in her gall bladder region and worse from touch, which is also worse before menses. She has itching eyes, and a node in her thyroid gland, on the right side. She has the feeling that she is not right because she doesn't just, because she is doing too much, is too wild. She doesn't want to be fixed, the theme of freedom is important. She always wanted to discover the world and go to countries far away. She thought about becoming a nun and helping people in other countries. As a child already she was very self will she is doing too much and didn't greet us she didn't want it. She is never content which is in contrast with her husband. She would like to live in the countryside but lives in the city. Sure likes to have far reviews over the sea or from a hill, this gives the feeling of freedom.
She is easily angered, by injustice. She can address people who are doing injustice and just jump between them. She can be angry at your room that don't want to become quiet she has a lot of power.
She has the feeling that no one cares about her and that she is not nurtured. But she doesn't want to be needed to be weak and others see that.
As a child, she felt different, like an adopted child. She has learned that one has to defend oneself. She was protecting her mother against her father and grandfather, stepping between them when they were quarrelling. Her father was very strict and choleric. In puberty, she was already interested in spirituality and went to India, the ashrams and Tibet full. She wanted to be free. She's always doing a lot and is a bit wild. Then she feels that she lives. She always reads 3 to 5 books at the same time, does several projects, and has 100.000 things that she never ended. But she likes to have rest. She is doing alternative therapies, and manual therapy. She feels the speculations and blockades with other people, fields where the pains are. She has high demands on herself and has the feeling that she has to heal everyone. There are two pregnancies that were terrible with a lot of nausea and vomiting. She couldn't stand being fixed.
Dream: being canned in a can.
Dream: detectives as if being under the ground in the Nazi time.GeneralSensation: stagnation, stowed.
Weather: < cold.
Desire: coffee, wine, drinks.
Aversion: fish.
Sleep: sleepless from worries about time money.AnalysisIn this case, we see a lot of energy, even going to aggression. She's easily angered and ready to fight, steps even in between half father and mother when they quarrel. This is very animal-like.
We see also many themes of the lanthanides. There is a strong desire for liberty and freedom, to have far few, an interest in spirituality and being a homeopath and therapist. I am walking them in the animal kingdom the lanthanides are the strongest in the birds. There we see also the themes of freedom and having an overview.
So we are looking for a bird that is restless and chaotic. The main theme is the duality between action and arrest, between speed and stagnation, between free and being fixed, even canned.
While looking through the birds were my attention was attracted by the Road Runner, Geococcyx californianus. It is terrestrial bier, that can run 30 km an hour. It is known from the cartoons of Warner Bros. In those cartoons the roadrunner is very defiant, provocative to its enemies and always escaping fairly easily. SO we see the speed and escaping.Follow-upAs a reaction to Geococcyx californianus MK she felt slowed down for a while, being outside of herself, as if having smoked marihuana. She didn't have migraines only a little hectic. Her mentor is not very strong and copies. She is the feeling as if being in process as if she was clearing things. She is more easy in setting her boundaries, with hotel room and husband. Her therapist tells her that she's better in formulating her emotions.
A year later she tells us that our migraines has diminished to 40%. Emotionally she has become much more stable. She is definitely doing better, but not completely cured.
Another year later she is doing much better. She is leas easily angry and hectic, can let people do their things. She feels lighter. She is more reflective and prepared to change herself. She seldom has migraine, but sometimes headache.
