Genus: 1 species.
Region: South America, central Chile.
Habitat: coastal forests, arid shrubland; mountains.
Botany: trees or small shrubs; actinorhizal; able to fix nitrogen via root nodules which contain Frankia bacteria.
TaxonomyTrevoa was first proposed by Miers in 1825. It was fully described in 1830 by Sir William Jackson Hooker. Reiche recognized 6 species. Trevoa trinervis is now considered a synonym of Retanilla trinervia.
