Genus: 1 species.
Botany: habitat coniferous or mixed forests; fleshy, unbranched, reddish to yellowish flower spike, ± 60 cm high; usually in small clusters; inflorescence hairy, sticky to the touch by hairs which exuding a sticky substance, covered by scale-like structures known as bracts, upper portion has a series of yellowish, urn-shaped flowers that face downward; fruit is a capsule; seeds winged.
