Use: steroidal progestin of the 19-nortestosterone group; synthetic, orally active progestogen; has a strong progestogenic effect on the uterine endometrium, inhibits secretion of gonadotropins, suppresses maturation of follicles in the ovaries and ovulation, reduces menstrual bleeding; oral contraceptive; gynecological disorders.
