Habitat: up to 500 m altitude.
BotanyShrub or tree; 3 to 8m tall.
Stem: branching from the base, arching; branches pale to grey, smooth; solitary spines all the way up the branches and along the stems.
Leaves: on spur shoots in bunches; obovate; densely pubescent when young; turning glabrous when mature.
Flowers: white; on spur shoots, fading to creamy yellow; 1-2 per spur shoot.
Fruit: yellow brown; round or ellipsoid; 13 to 14 mm long.
