LANTHANIDES IN GIFTEDNESS: WHAT THEY TEACH US - A REVIEW OF 380 CASESAuthor: Fernando Fransolin Peres, MD; DHt– Homeopathy School of Curitiba Dr. Javier Salvador Gamarra, Curitiba-PR, Brazil (2022). Email: fernando@franzolin.com
Keywords: Giftedness; High Abilities; Lanthanides; Neurodivergence; AutonomyIntroduction
Over six years of clinical follow-up with 380 patients, we observed the effective application of homeopathic medications from the Lanthanide group in individuals with Giftedness/High Abilities (G/HA). These medications have consistently demonstrated exceptional clinical outcomes, with patients reporting superior and long-lasting responses shortly after initiating treatment.
ObjectiveTo identify, correlate, and confirm common therapeutic responses in G/HA patients treated with Lanthanide medications.
MethodsA retrospective review of 380 medical records of G/HA patients using Lanthanide-based medications was conducted. Therapeutic responses were analyzed, and clinical progression patterns were identified.
ResultsInitial clinical picture in the sample (>50%)
- Anxiety;
- Depression
- Accelerated thinking;
- Insomnia
- Difficulty concentrating despite high capacity
- Not-belonging;
- Impostor syndrome
- Restlessness;
- Irritability;
- Perfectionism
- Opposition/contradiction patterns
- Sensory and emotional hyperexcitability
- Physical symptoms from excess/overuse: pain, inflammation, strain injuries
- Feeling of not being understood.
- Social isolation.
- Frequent previous diagnoses: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Initial Follow-Up:Mental improvements (76% of patients):
• Enhanced mental clarity and reduced confusion.
• Improved ability to self-organize personal and professional tasks.
• Systematic thinking with better problem-solving skills.
• Reduction in accelerated and intrusive thoughts.
• Increased objectivity and self-awareness.
• Decreased emotional hyperexcitability.
• Improved self-esteem, confidence, and autonomy.
• Improving integration - Existential polarity: the power to surpass oneself versus difficulty acting in the world.
• More energy with less “electricity”; better physical, mental, and emotional control.
• Decreased irritability and fatigue.
• Neuroregulation: reduced hypersensitivity or appropriately increased sensitivity; decreased overexcitability (Dabrowski).
• Increased sociability; inner security.
• Immune Response (58% of patients): Enhanced immune response was reported by over half of the patients.
Primary Complaints Showing > 75% Improvement:• Better sleep quality.
• Increased happiness and sense of fulfillment.
• Significant reduction in anxiety and irritability.
• Greater affection and decreased hyper-alertness.
Additional Findings:• 35% reported heightened intuition in familial or professional relationships.
• 5% experienced effects resembling dopaminergic psychoactive drugs.
• 85% met giftedness/high-ability criteria (Renzulli).
• 38% formally identified via neuro-psychological evaluation.
• Among prior diagnoses, 60% of ADHD and 45% of ASD were unidentified HA/G.
ConclusionsG/HA individuals exhibit neurodivergent characteristics that can result in distress and dysfunction. The overlap between G/HA profiles and the therapeutic potential of Lanthanide medications, as described by Jan Scholten, highlights significant improvements in these patients.
The observed therapeutic outcomes demonstrate superior efficacy in promoting well-being and equilibrium. Clinically, the Lanthanide movement shifts patients from dispersion to direction; from hyper-reactivity to regulation; from conflict with external control to steady inner rule. These changes enable patients to achieve higher levels of self-actualization and life purpose, offering a promising avenue for tailored homeopathic interventions in this unique population.
